Hello!
The long weekend is ALMOST here and we can’t wait to celebrate Canada Day, my son is SO excited for fireworks.
I thought I would get into the swing of summer with a couple of fun cards. I have two very special birthdays coming up, so I thought I would cross them off my crafty “to do” list.
Both backgrounds were created using Distress Oxide inks and a mini ink blender, such a cool effect!! I’ve seen so many amazing rainbow backgrounds lately, and had to give it a try!

First up, I decided to go tropical with Sunnyside Studios (fun fact: This card marks my “card-iversary”, exactly one year ago I made my very first card for my future MIL). The images were coloured using my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and I added Glossy Accents for a little pizzazz.

For my second card, it was all about Sweet , my little niece is turning 2 and LOVES all things princess. And well, I mean Mermaid Shelfie is basically the cutest! I added a vellum “sea” and a touch of glitter with my Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle marker.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a sunshiny weekend!

P.S Here’s a pic of my very first card I made exactly a year ago (what a crazy crafty journey!!)
